To all Japanese Competitors:
All Japan Professional Ballroom Dance Competitors’ Commission (ABDC)
I would like to wish the ABDC every success for the future. It is heart-warming to hear of a coming-together of people rather than division.
Competitions and Championships are all about the Competitors and they should therefore be put first when it comes to administration and organisation. This point, sadly, often gets forgotten and other considerations are given priority. For this reason it is necessary for the Competitors to speak as one voice when raising their concerns. The formation of the ABDC is therefore a natural consequence of the fragmentation that has occurred in recent times within Japan and, indeed, internationally.
Japan has always been a major international force in the dance world and I am sure it can continue to be so. With the initiative of the instigators of the ABDC, there can be hope of greater unity within Japan in the future.
Their task will not be easy but I wish the officers and members of the ABDC good luck and best wishes for the success of their new venture.
Sincerely,
David Sycamore

Jukka Haapalainen and Sirpa Suutari(ユッカ・ハパライネン&シルパ・スータリ)
To comittee of the ABCD
We have read your statement and support your efforts with all our hearts. Unification is the way forward in the World in General and your way of unifying within Japanese dance Industry is a great example. You will show members of our Industry that the dancers hold the power, as without the active competitors there will be no competitions, with out competitors there will also be no fans , who support organizers by being the paying customers both in events and in dance schools. Dancers will always dance and it is up to the leadership of any political fragment under which organization the dancers will dance.
We both wish you all the best in restoring and reinforcing the faith in danceindustry and dancing itself.
Keep fighting for the good cause.
Best regards,
Jukka Haapalainen and Sirpa Suutari

Sascha Karabey(サーシャ・カラベイ)
I want to congratulate the japanese competitors to have searched for a way forward and for solutions in their best interest to form an organization what years ago have not thought to ever be possible.
I wish for many competitors to join forces and work together and achieve their goals and to achieve a better communication as it will strengthen the voice of the competitor within our industry.
As a competitor nowadays you do not only have to focus on your professional career and your work, but also have to be able to network and communicate with other competitors and with federations, sponsors, organizers and companies within our dancing world.
Therefore it makes me happy that the japanese competitors will set an example to many other dancers worldwide. I will be looking forward to hear about further progress and developments from now and remain with
Very Best Wishes,
Sascha Karabey
